Kristin Osborn is the Co-Director of the Psychotherapy Research Program, developed by Dr. Leigh McCullough, author of Changing Character and co-author of Treating Affect Phobia: A Manual for Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy.
Her most recent article was published in the Psychotherapy Journal in June 2011, “Learning how to rate video-recorded therapy sessions: “A Practical Guide for Trainees and Advanced Clincians,” and she is the co-author of a chapter in the book, Clincal Strategies for Becoming a Psychotherapist.

For the past fourteen years, her work has focused on teaching clinicians and clients that the healthy experience and expression of feelings like sadness, anger, and self-compassion can motivate healthy behavior. She has found that once people understand how to use this internal resource, they are more able to thoughtfully and effectively improve their relationships and overall physical and emotional health.
Kristin conducts training and supervision groups for mental health professionals in North America and Europe. She has presented for the American Psychological Association and the National Association for Social Workers and is on the continuing education faculty at Rino-Nord Holland in Amsterdam. She is a board member of the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association and serves as their Executive Coordinator of Continuing Education and Treasurer.
